I am feeling OK with the prices on DDR3 builds.

These DDR3 components now in 2018 are a good platform to run along with having a DDR4 machine as a backup. If you are a person who does not keep up with the latest computers, then these DDR3 platforms and components are an economic choice to build, they may seem expensive, but putting together a system for DDR3 computer system is a good choice now, and far cheaper to build than any DDR4 build. Kingston is a good brand with slightly above prices but you get a premium quality ram.

  • Not a great move, as I should have gone for the larger upgrade

It did speed up system maybe 10% I think I should have ordered a 16 gb kit, then I would have noticed a big difference

  • Great compatibility

You can't go wrong with Kingston. My motherboard/processor combination only allows this to run at 1333 9-9-9-25, not the fault of the RAM, it's a shortcoming of my processor/mobo combo. Even at this speed, the RAM runs well.

  • Great product at a good value

Kingston has always made a great product. No cons really; the price is typically a little more than generic brands but always worth it. Between Kingston, Crucial and Corsair, I've never had an issue.

  • Mystery memory

I have not been able to get a computer to work with this kind of memory
