Socrates died of an overdose of wedlock. Joan of Arc was burnt to a steak. The King wore a scarlet robe trimmed with vermin. In the middle of the 18th Century all the morons moved to Utah. The German Emperor's lower passage was blocked by the English. The French Revolution was caused by overcharging taxis. Nets are holes surrounded by pieces of string. In biology today we digested a frog. The seventh commandment is 'Thou shall not admit adultery'. Pompeii was destroyed by an overflow of saliva from the Vatican. • Must try harder Mr McGreevy!

The book is funny in parts, but the overall content is ruined by the insufferable superiority complex of the writer, who seems and writes as though he were better than everyone around him, and as though every young person were cretinous. From then on, the book doesn't read like lighthearted humour, it feels like it was written with scorn and contempt, and that McGreevy is not reminiscing, but mocking those of inferior intellect to his own inflated opinion. Some of the mistakes are amusing, but the opening statement undermines the tone of comedy somewhat.

  • Buy this book, it is genuinely hilarious AND the cover is SO green!!!!!

This book is possibly funnier than the other book I reviewed! I cant say for certain though, because it's been awhile since i read them both, and they are similar. But I'm sure one was slightly funnier than the other one, and there's a 50% chance it is this one! Either way though, it is a very, very funny book! I know this for a fact, because I was there when I read it. Yes, I did howl, and I also grew hairy arms and big teeth..but it was a full moon. By the way, I'm alright noooOooooooooOOoOOOowwwwww...

  • We howled with laughter, and the tears were running down our faces!

It is an hilarious little book. Yes, we did 'howl' with laughter at the understandable answers given by the students. It is said we only recall 7-10% of what we hear.......either the teachers mumble, the students have hearing problems, or both. If you want a good, clean laugh, buy this little book. I shall look out for more of the same.
