    B-Movie special effects + big name actors + '80s = Unserious fun!

    The special effects are laughable. And The Ice Pirates makes no attempt to fool you with them, but instead subtly pokes fun at them with you. The acting is good, the plot is laughable, and the humor is sharp. This movie will certainly never win any awards, but it's great for breaking the home movie rut you may occasionally find yourself in.

    The title itself starts you on the journey.

    I loved the story. Even though it's SCI-Fi, it makes you believe it could be in our future but with a twist of comedy made it fun to watch.

    Nice diversion

    This is one of those movies that you have to watch from the mindset of the year the movie was made. If you can suspend disbelief and just treat is as a popcorn movie it can be entertaining.
