I also had difficulty getting DP to HDMI cables to work with my graphics card, reading a previous comment with same issue (detecting monitor and showing Bios logo then going straight into standby mode) I ordered this adaptor converter Swapping the cable out for this adapter and then connecting a full HDMI cable fixed the problem. Thank you very much.
