Very pleased with this item, which arrived in good time and was a good price. Packaging of discs was slightly damaged in transit, probably thanks to the postal service, however this should not reflect on this excellent seller! Thank you

    Napoleonic Wars

The acting is a bit contrived (especially Rod Steiger) and the history is slanted to sell to the widest possible market. But and its a very big "BUT" the battle scenes are amongst the best if not the very best I've ever seen. If you enjoy history and you want to see a depiction of how battles were fought in the early 18th century then this DVD is a must. Rick

  • Great story we should continue telling

This was the first film I saw in a cinema and it was just as good the second time around. The quality was good. It tells the story of our history in a way that is not only entertaining but makes you proud to be British.

  • Excellent price, quick delivery, worth every penny.

I hav not watched this film since it wason the big screen. I'd remembered some of the content but was very surprised at the quality of the DVD. Great cast, well filmed and excellent story/script. Not everyones cup of tea but for a war film A1.

  • Fantastic epic, superb battle scenes - they don't make them like this now!

I bought this dvd because I like war films and I remember seeing it as a kid at the cinema in 1970 and being spellbound with it. Fantastic battle scenes, superb story and action, loads of extras, not computer generated images like films of today. I was not disappointed - this is a breathtaking epic, I am also interested in Napoleonic wargaming and therefore the film is a source of reference. Love the film, the only disappointment is that it had to end! Would recommend this film to lovers of war movies.
