Love it because it's a Nokia! The easiest operating system, Bar None! Great reception and a long battery life. I use the calender, the music player, the radio, the alarm clock, the stop watch all the time. If you travel the "Flight mode" setting is fantastic! Buy a data cable and use the Nokia software to use Outlook and simplify your life. Did I mention the bluetooth was ridiculously easy to connect? Sure the screen is a tad smaller than some other phones. And I've heard complaints from others about the camera, it's a phone not a camera! If you are looking for a dependable, affordable, easy to use phone that does not have so many things to figure out this is the phone for you!
This is a solid Nokia phone. It is built like a tank, and does the basic things well. Pros: Comfortable Nokia user interface. I've used Nokias for years, and this operates just like it should. Great audio for voice calls. Outstanding battery life. Bluetooth is seamless. Predictive text works well. Small form factor -- fits in your pocket and stays there. Cons: Displays are outdated, for 2011. Mini display is pretty dim and goes dark fast. Main display is pretty lo-res. Bottom line: This is a solid basic phone. I'm keeping it as a backup, because I know it'll work forever no matter what.
I searched Ebay for older flip phones because I needed one for a friend. The Nokia 6085 is sturdy and easy to use for an electronically challenged person.I have owned 3 previous Nokia phones (still keep one for an emergency backup) and knew that he and his wife (I bought 2) would like it. The camera function was one of the primary reasons for this one because they sell show chickens. The resolution is perfect for their postings and can be easily emailed directly from the phone. With the micro sd card slot giving it a large picture storage, we haven't found a down side to this little phone. I personally have had other brands of folding phones and they don't seem to hold up to more than a year of opening and closing before quiting.
I bought this Nokia 6085 Flip Phone for my husband. He had one identical to it but accidentally got it wet and messed it up. He has really enjoyed having his flip phone back. He especially enoys having a camera on his phone. I don't know why AT&T doesn't offer these model phones anymore, they are good phones. The battery lasts a long time and the size of the phone is excellent for putting in a pocket. I highly recommend the Nokia 6085 model phone.
This is a basic unit that is easy to use and even has a camera. It is small and can be stored in a pocket or purse. I use one at my place of employment so I purchase the same type in case I damaged my company cell all I would have to do is change the simm card. It is my insurance.
This phone has all of the features I need. I don' use data transfer. I can keep hundreds of contacts, unlike my Samsung . I use a calendar, to-do list, calculator, alarm clock and text messaging. It also has better reception in 1 bar ares than many phones I have tried. CONS: It would be nice to have a QWERTY keypad for to-do list and text.
I used this device while I was under contract with AT&T for 2 years. It was just completely worth the money. The call quality and stability were great, good maximum volume, easy navigation - at least for those who are used to Nokia phones, like I was-, awesome battery life. You could talk for hours and still not have to worry about fully draining out the battery. It could hold charge for hours together; something I miss in the cheap Samsung a777 that the I have now. The Nokia 6085 looks fairly basic, but looks can be deceptive. It does it's job very well indeed. If you are looking for a nice, inexpensive, basic phone then you should go with this one. I, for one, am regretting why I ever switched from the Nokia to the Samsung a777!!
This phone seems so durable. Not many bells or whistles and the camera quality is not great, but it is very inexpensive so I wasn't expecting a great camera. I just needed a phone that works and will send text messages. The only complaint is that it will randomly erase my background and chosen ringtones. Weird. I expect that this will last a while even though I got it used. I like that it has a music player but be warned - don't try to buy a MicroSD card bigger than 2GB! It can't handle anything bigger than that unfortunately. But overall I'm happy with this phone for basic usage. :)
I like its simplicity and functionality. Great phone easy to use, gets great reception, has all the tools I need, great size. I carry it everywhere and is very durable.
When I first started with AT&T, me, my husband and daughter all started with this phone. My daughter did not like it real well because she likes to text a lot, but me and my husband both love this phone. It has the capability of bigger letters and numbers on the display (my husband loves that he can see the number calling without his glasses). The phone was very durable, I had my phone for approx. 6 years before display went out. My husbands phone lasted approx. 4-5 years until he dropped outside in the rain. Could not find this phone to purchase again through AT&T until I found on e-bay.
