Slow to develop but worth watching
Director Debra Granik tells the story of a young women who's home is about to be taken away because her father has used it as bond for an upcoming court appearance. He is no where to be found and Ree Dolly (Jennifer Lawrence) sets out to find him. This is a very dark drama, the characters all live in a very poor area where they care for and watch out for each other. The movie was difficult to sit through as the plot was a bit slow but the acting and directing were pretty good and in the end it was worth watching.
