Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Viewfinders & Eyecups
I recently received a Canon G3X camera as a Christmas present. It's excellent but it does NOT include an electronic view finder (EVF) as a standard feature. Because this camera is a superzoom (i.e. can zoom out to 600mm), an EVF is not just desirable, its a "must have" item for use at long focal lengths. The Canon EVF-DC1 is certainly not an inexpensive add-on but it is a high quality accessory that will definitely assist anyone using this camera.

As much as everyone and myself would prefer large nice screen, and not have to sequent to see the subject. The regular displays just don't hold up to bright sunny days, making it impossible to shoot or view an image. This is where an evf shines, you get all the display options on it and you can see what your doing on a sunny day.

Great picture in the eye piece that gives you all the info you need while framing the shot. I could not be more pleased.

Best aid for manual focusing/ critical focusing when outdoors. The rear screen on an M3 isn't sharp enough for critical focusing especially outdoors. The EVF works great for eyeglass wearers like me for critical focus, and it articulates up if for lower camera positions.
