    Raffan is excellent as always!

    Richard Raffan's books are some of the best books I have ever read on woodturning. He covers the use of wood lathes and turning tools. His photos and drawings are excellent and serve to very clearly illustrate the ideas presented in his books. There is just so much information for beginners and exeperienced turns alike that it is just unreal. I have been turning for 2 years as a hobby and I continue to return to his books for advice and explanations. I finally got tired of constantly running back to the Library and bought my own copies. He has the most amazing ability to always anticipate the questions that I would ask and answers them as though you had directly asked him. The answers are clear practical and easy to follow and yet never dry, wordy or over-the-top. Raffan is a truly ...
