Very, Very GOOD!!!
This was a long overdue upgrade to a 6 year old Sony head unit. This unit has a built-in HD Tuner, USB interface, Ipod Controller which my older one did not have. Easy to install, partly because the old Sony unit and the new unit had identical wiring harnesses. The only thing my older unit had that this one didn't, was 4 volt preamp outputs. I really love the ability to play music from a flash drive and the Ipod controls. Until I started to use them I hadn't realize how much I missed them. I found this unit very easy to use after I did my initial setup. Only 2 cons. There is a choice of Blue or Green illumination colors. The Blue one is way to bright at night and very distracting. For this reason I use the Green color. The illumination color does not dim with the dimmer control. The other ... This was a long overdue upgrade to a 6 year old Sony head unit. Nice radio with just a few tweaks for it to be a solid 5-star.
I bought two of these radios as upgrades to my older cars. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the radio. Pros: Very easy installation. Great features and AUX inputs. Over-all rating 4.5 out of 5 stars Cons: I wish the back light was controlled by interior dimming. Wish the off/on switch were a push of the dial—instead, it’s the entry mode for options such as bass level, etc. Wish one could save HD (second level) channels on the quick-select buttons—only the top-level channel is saved by the buttons. But, don’t let these few items otherwise discourage you from a very fine unit. These are just areas I would improve upon were I Sony.I bought two of these radios as upgrades to my older cars. hey fellow ebayer i love my sony in dash hd receiver. im thinking about purchasing one for each vehicle. you can choose from blue or green blacklight color. the aux inlet and usb inlet are right up front for easy access.and greatest feature for me is to flip down the attached face and access your cd slot. im loving it guys you have to have one. trust me on this
