    It fit and it works but....

    I have a 2003 GMC.#5 quit years ago. #1 quit working last month. Changing this out was relatively easy but we do have a well equipped shop and lots of experience. I did not need to change the harness. Mine is still ok and plugged into this new resistor. The plug to the fan was just as easy. Whoopee, I have all 5 speeds again!! The only problem was the gasket didn't line up with the hole and one of the bolt holes didn't line up. Us shade tree hot rodders can make that kind of stuff work. We put the cover on it and nobody knows the difference.

    973-409 Wiring Harness

    Very easy to install. All you have to do is unscrew 2 scews and disconnect 2 connections and replace the part. Took less than 15 minutes. It was an exact replacement so no extra wiring was needed.
