i bought this ipod because it had the radio on it and i really liked that for work because most of the radios we have get really bad reception. a few things i did not like about the ipod are, i bought the ipod used and the battery would only last 12 hours instead of 24. the major thing is that you have to have itunes 10.0 or later, apple only has itunes 10.3 and 10.4 and both will not work on a mac powerPC G4, so you have to upgrade your computer in order to use the ipod if you have an old system. i really like the reception on the ipods radio, and the volume buttons on the outside are really nice. compared to the 2nd gen nano, i would have to say that i dont like this one as much. i think that this nano would be better if it was the size of the 2nd gen nano.
Without a doubt the "original" 6th generation Ipod Nano is the best. It has all the features that allows you to modify it to your desire and it has a fantastic clip on the back so you can clip it to a jacket or shirt, or to your dashboard as I do in my old truck. When I lost my original Ipod I learned that Apple sells new "6th generation" Nanos but there are no features with the exception of shuffle. I like my various playlists and had no interest at all in the new version. I have a total of 3 Nanos, 2 are 6th generation and one is 7th. The seventh is great because it has Bluetooth, but it's larger and has no clip. If you want to put the 7th generation Nano in any type of docking station or attach it to a USB cord, you have to buy an extra adapter because they modified the bottom...that actually makes me angry with Apple.Read full review

I was scared to buy something this small and expensive but it is totally worth it. It holds a lot of music and plays excellent like any iPod but besides music, a pedometer and clock/stopwatch/timer thats all it does. This is perfect for me, all I wanted was a reliable small music player with a screen and smooth navigation and it does exactly that. The battery only lasts for around 12 hours of me playing music and scrolling through songs every once in a while, which is half of what is advertised. But who honestly turns their iPod on without changing a song or rating it for 24 hours?? So it could last much longer but just doesn't for how I use it. 12 hours is still plenty though because I can always charge it in various places. The touch screen is very smooth to navigate through as long as you like touch screens or just put a little time getting used to it. The volume buttons being on the top are very nice and easy to change the volume without difficulty. So... if you want simply a music player that is small and amazing- get the nano 6G!Read full review
I bought this item because it has great battery life and the features and design are great for the price. Its a micro juke box and the design is so compact and its hard to believe that so much clear sound could come from such a small device. I will use it for my DJ gigs for a back up because you can store so many songs on it. I will also take it in my car so that I can listen to the tunes I want to hear.
I have enjoyed a Nano for quite some time, but I have to admit the newest generation is awesome! They combined most of the features of the old Nano with the compact size and convenience of the Shuffle. My only knock is no wireless connectivity, which would drive it over the top. I have purchased a screen protector and rubberized case to protect it, and it doesn't affect the weight of the item. I use my Nano for exercising and also for listening to podcasts in the car and before bed, so it truly is able to meet all uses.
I bought it cause i needed more space for my playlist. I like the quality of the software and the clear sounding and the product's finishing. I dislike the impossibility to backup your Library from the iPod, cause i've recently lost a bunch of files that could only be recovered through Sharepod, and the metadata that demands exclusive compatibility with the iPod in any other device I want to play it. Would prefer the windows media player for updating the files and the mp3 in a raw form so i could play it anywhere. Is the best, tho it could be better, excellent storage, battery could last longer, compatibility should be broader, and piracy policy should not be THAT important. I wanna thank god in first, my mom, family, friends especially Oliveira for supporting me out, could never get here without their help. I want to dedicate this... "Review"... to all of them, their support and of course God. And last but not least you people, it would never be possible without your help! Thank you! (LOL)Read full review
This is a great little unit. I originally bought an 8 GB but found that it didn't hold as much music as I wanted so I sold it a got the 16 GB. I'd still like about 4 more GB but I'm able to get a wide variety of music on it. I really only use it to listen to my music so I can't really speak to the other features of the unit but it is easy to use and puts out good sound, especially with the earbuds that I upgraded to.
I'm 64 years old and love the iPod nano. I bought it to pipe music into my downhill ski helmet. I loaded some of my favorite classic rock songs along with a little country and newer top songs and listen to it all day on the slopes. It fits perfectly in my pocket, has fantastic sound and is so easy to use. I especially like the 24 hour potential on one charge of the battery. Last week I skied two days day without charging it, and it would have lasted another day or so even in the freezing cold of this northeast winter. I'm looking forward to using it on the trails as I backpack in the mountains this summer. Being so small, it will fit right in. I never thought about buying an iPod in the past, but now wonder why I waited so long. It's amazing where technology has gone!
Great condition, long battery life, good sound. Nice job.
