I used this printer every single day and have printed thousands of photos. The quality is excellent. It does use a lot of ink though. The XL ink is better than regular but I still replace it frequently. The printer is quiet while printing, but it aligns itself after every page and that is a bit noisy. I recommend this printer highly. However, if you are printing on cardstock or magnetic photo paper, it does not always work. It jams. The HP customer support was very helpful and courteous. They even called within a few days to follow up on a problem I was having.
Excellent photo printer. Clear crisp prints from size 4x6 all the way to 13x19. Easy to install easy to use. Rather large unit if your cramped for space. Does not like refilled cartridges-sends errors. Invest in the 564xl cartridges rather the simple 564. The XL holds more ink. Overall its a decent photo printer for the price.
This printer from HP is easy to use, the ink lasts for a good while, and is cheep when compared to other printers. I have had no problems at all with the printer or anything (changing ink,etc.. And above all I'm liking the prints so far. (Have not tried the 19" x 13" as of yet.) For the most part colors match my laptop for Photoshop Elements 7
I am a Fine Artist and use this printer for Giclees. I have had 3 Epson printers which are considered to be the best for giclees. This large format printer is so much better. Front load paper that actually feeds itself...no more hand feeding. Quality is as good as Epson. Uses way less ink. fast and quiet Price for a large format printer can not be beat. I love this printer!!!
Great for large prints. Color and image even better than my old HP 8750. The B8550 recognizes the HP Advanced Photo paper and produces resolution and depth of color as good as any non-digital picture I have ever printed. I bought it only because the 8750, after hundreds of large print jobs, needed some repairs to the paper feeding mechanism, not worth the cost.
