Famous psychic,Sylvia Browne, has quite a following and who hasn't seen her on the Montel Williams Show? In this book she talks about the secret societies that surround us and affect not only our lives, but the world. This was a very interesting read. A lot to absorb and think about. Are there groups that quietly influence the entire world and how we live? How much do we know about them and their intentions? Ms. Browne claims that our lives wouldn't be the same without them and goes on to share her theory on the conspiracies, cover-ups, long held secrets, misinformation and power manipulations from our past to present. Heavy stuff....will have you thinking. Ever since the Da Vinci Code came out, more people are jumping on the bandwagon and delving into secret societies. Ms. Browne ... Thoroughly interesting book
Having never read anything by Sylvia Browne before, I decided to purchase this book as the title and the synopsis intrigued me. I've watched her on Montel for years and she truly rubs me the wrong way. I'm not sure if it's something about her personality, her delivery, or if she's just been doing the psychic-medium thing so long (it's a true gift, some of us have it, others do not) that she doesn't filter the things she says to people. That's ok, I have an Aunt like that. =) However, she writes much better than she speaks in public. I found this book so interesting. A lot of the material I already knew, but that which I did not know about was fascinating and/or frightening. It's well researched, well written, and incredibly informative. Great book! Ignore irrelevant "review" by Blue-Mermaid
Please do not let the few bad reviews here on eBay discourage you from buying this book. Their reviews were not based on the actual book, instead,they were based upon their disagreement/disapproval of the author's beliefs as a whole. Unfortunately, some people are completely threatened by anyone and anything that may contradict or differ from what they were taught or believe. This was an excellent book and kept me interested up to the very end! I listen to audio books when I am driving in the car. It makes sitting in traffic a lot more bearable and, while I was listening to this audio book, I actually found myself looking forward to driving!Please do not let the few bad reviews here on eBay discourage you from buying this book. Secret Societies...and How They Affect Our Lives Today
Sylvia Browne has come up with fantasy and managed to pawn it off on alot of uninformed people as truth. She quotes the Bible, but totally twists the meaning of what the Bible says. She does not believe that Jesus died on the cross so that we can have eternal life. She is a pyschic and the Bible clearly states to stay away from pyschics and mediums. Her so called spirit guide is actually a demon. She mixes a little truth with alot of falsehood and outright lies. She believes in re-incarnation, which the Bible does not teach. A book that exposes the New Age, that I recommend is by Johanna Michaelsen. Her book "The beautiful Side of Evil and "Like Lambs to the Slaughter", expose alot of these lies. This comment was addressed to Sylvia's critic, but to Sylvia.. You (critic) did not address the issue of the concept of secret societies. You may not like or believe Sylvia Browne, as I very much do, but secret societies, whose members hold high positions in our government and private inductry, do exist and have a highly tremendous influence on our daily lives. You are very naive to think that they don't exist. There are several authors who have thoroughly researched this subject area and have discovered the truths about these societies, which corroborates what Sylvia explains in her book.
