    Great Phone / Great value

This is an older model cell phone that is small and rugged with some options not available on some newer phones (ability to remove battery to reset phone). It has a lot of the modern features found on most phones (makes phone calls & allows texting, voice to text work great, can manage 16gig external memory card, internet access, camera, plays videos and music, runs many apps). The phone getting wet or being dropped has not affected it performance. Cons: The phone does not have a lot of internal memory, does not have a flash for the camera, or dual cameras, active battery life is not long. It gets the job of communicating done just fine for me.

    The Phone

The phone is ok for a temporary phone but not for everyday use. It's so hard to type texts and to get on the internet. It just make everything seem so complicated. But I did keep it just in case my new phone breaks down and I need a spare until I get another one.

  • Older phone with some limitations.

First, do not confuse this phone with the newer Galaxy Prevail LTE, it's not the same phone. The LTE is newer, has a front facing camera and a much better capabilities. This is the 2010 version of this phone. It still has 2G/3G capability but it otherwise limited on function. Boost still has one of the better no-contract data plans out there so this phone combines with the $35 2GB plan is perfect for someone who needs a little more than the AARP phones from Consumer Cellular. It will need charging DAILY, even if it sites idle if you have a lot of background running apps it wears the batter down fast. You have two solutions for that: buy a second batter or buy a portable charging point that you can plug into when you get low during the day. Portable chargers are only about $10 and well ...

  • Good Phone moving into the smart phone segment

This is my first smart phone and I am loving it coming from a old phone with no net and being able to go for days without charging it was a plus. However with this phone I seem to be getting a full day worth of battery life which is ehhh.. ok. however the phone makes up for it with all the things it can do and the layout is easy for a first time smart phone user.
