They feel, snug, not uncomfortably snug but a cosy fit. I would say, good enough for light to mid trekking...6 to 10 miles with a daysack, but not heavy or rugged stuff with a 60ltr backpack....you need something a bit more robust than these. However, I've 3 pairs of varied Cotswold footwear, and I'm happy with their performance. Certainly for the price, they are worth it!
