    Not sure it’s worth buying an older Tomtom. I bought this second hand and tried to update it. Unfortunately, although you can still update it, the update is bigger then the capacity. I will have to buy an sd card to enable the upgrade. This is because you can no longer just have a UK map on it like my old Tomtom, it is UK and Western Europe and just doesn’t have the capacity. Who wants speed limits in Finland? I have uninstalled all the unwanted speed limits , voices etc but still only half the room needed for the update. Why can’t you just have Uk maps? I don’t drive abroad . I don’t know if capacity is an issue with newer models. Apart from this issue, the sat nav is great! Tomtom are far superior to other makes

    Ideal for intermittant use.

    Only need it rarely for use when I don't know where I am going and it is ideal to keep in the cupboard for those tomes. Don't need lots of bells and whistles.

    The Sat Nav would only work when plugged...

    The Sat Nav would only work when plugged in. This was extremely difficult because the mount did not leave room to plug it in rendering it useless. I put a new battery into it and discovered it came with the wrong battery which is why it would not hold charge. It does work now.
