    A Must for the gun enthusiast and collector

    Extremely handy and detailed pictorial Assembly and Disassembly of many older Auto Pistols. The pictures are faded, but still clear enough to discern the parts being used and the notations provide sufficient instruction that even a reasonably handy rookie at the task can tear down and reassemble their gun. Most of the guns reviewed are older firearms but valuable to the collector since manuals for these weapons are not always available. This book and others like it produced by Gun Digest over the years have been very helpful to understand the basic functioning of the guns and a little of their history as well. This Book deals with some of the older weapons, but there are different versions published at different times that cover more and different guns closer to the modern pistols. An ...

    Another excellent J.B. Woods book.

    I've become a fan of all J.B.Woods books and as usual this one is excellent. It's very clear in it's explanations and the photos are good. It has many pistols in it, but I recommend looking at the table of contents online to make sure if you're looking for a specific gun or guns within it. I was not disappointed at it's contents, how it's written, explanations or photos. Really excellent book overall.
