The cables were coiled up and thrown inside. There was no protective plastic on the device and no plastic wrapping. Items were shifted around in the box, and the whole thing appeared to be hastily packaged. As best as I can tell nothing is functionally wrong with the unit, but time will tell. From the seller "Condition: Brand New in Original Packaging SKU: HC003042-FLPTRM"

I purchased a set from Amazon at a cost of almost $80 and advised the seller to indicate in their description of the printer that it does not come with toner. They replied promptly and refunded the entire cost of the cartridges. Excellent customer service, something that is unfortunately disappearing.
