      SiriusXM SX300v1. My Thoughts.

      I live in the DFW, Texas area and for the most part this unit has decent to above average sound quality. I have it hooked up to a Pioneer X1700s DVD Head Unit. Sometimes it loses the signal. Even when there are no obstruction in the sky above. Especially North of DFW Airport in Irving, Texas. I have also lost signal in Farmers Branch, Carrolton and of course sometimes when I am under an obstruction. Such as, a Car Wash, Bridge or Large Tree. The three months of free service provided I purchase 3 months does help. However, after that 6 month period, I don't no if the service will provide any additional value over my existing music collection.

      What a disappointment.

      The only good thing about this unit is its small footprint. That would be all for me. Interfejs limited to one hr back on music channel. Talk radio doesn't have this option ar all. Very small picture with actuall channel or artwork of a CD. No ability to setting up the quality of music. All this compared to all options available on Internet XM makes this Tuner laughable.

      Easy satellite radio for us all -

      Right away I've noticed how much faster this new satellite tuner is able to lock on to stations. Music/news is very clear and full fidelity. The compact size allows many install options. I used a small patch of industrial velcro for a semi-perminent install. My new Kenwood stereo really talks satellite radio. What a great upgrade for my road trips through Nebraska, a radio no-man's land. Dan in Denver

      First time using this model, big improvement over the 2 older ones I have in my other vehicles. No power wiring necessary, just plug it into the back of your stereo, and snap in the antenna plug. The 3 months free HAS NOT expired. I added this receiver to my account, and selected All Access 3 months free. When you are near the end of your free trial, just log onto your account and change it to the plan you`d like (I have the mostly music plan for $10.99 a month) Also, do not place the antenna inside your vehicle, the reception will be spotty.
