      Marble base, sturdy and easy to use.

      I am enjoying the functionality of my new cheese slicer. The marble surface keeps the cheese cool so that it doesn't quickly dry out. It's got a nice heavy base so it doesn't shift when you use it and the marble looks very nice. I get nice, evenly cut slices of whatever thickness .The best and easiest way to slice cheese.It's easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store. It arrived quickly and well packaged.

      It works, but it could be better.

      The finish wasn't as good as I had expected. The groove cut in the marble has a fairly rough edge and it's not quite parallel to the sides. I didn't contact the seller because it works well enough that I don't want to not bother with returning it. I was afraid to bend the frame for the wire because that might make it too slack to cut smoothly. The acid test is that it works well enough I don't want to return it, but I wouldn't buy it again.

      Great Gift

      I purchased one of these slicers a while back and decided to buy one for my daughter. We both love this slicer. The replacement blades were taped on the bottom of the slicer so I transferred them to the back of my cabinet so they wouldn't get lost. They must've fallen off the cabinet because now they're missing. Ugh! The good news is that the original wire is still in perfect condition.

      Wires are difficult to install till you figure out you can install it either end first then it is no problem

      Great Product

      This is my second one. After MANY years of service I lost the first one in a move. It is the perfect size and can work in a small kitchen. The marble is easy to clean. It can be a little testy to attach a new wire but it must be taut to work correctly. It comes with extra wire and it's worth the time to put it together.
