    Used my brand new Dremel 4000 to do some light sanding for approximately 20 minutes over a period of two days. Worked great the first day and after about 5 minutes of sanding on the second day the thing just crapped out and now I have an $83.00 POS. I purchased Dremel because of their solid reputation for being dependable. Guess they don't make them like they used to.

    Great upgrade from a Dremel 300

    I had a problem with the Dremel 300 that I have used extensively in the past year and a half during a home remodel. On its last use the collett stuck and could not be losened to remove the tool because the shaft locking button no longer would lock the shaft. I found the 4000 at a good price. It is much more robust and powerful than the 300. I am satisfied with my purchase.

    A step up from old one

    When my old Dremel finally bit the dust in a way that I couldn't repair I went looking and found this one. More power, better controls, still ergonomic. Yeah, that works for me and it has since I got it. VERY pleased and it adjusts its power to maintain the rpm you select (or at least that's how it seems) doesn't get bogged down.
