all 12" speakers seem to measure ONLY 11" across from where the cone starts

Amp was set at 0 DB and clips at 10w RMS had tweeters that did a better job.

Fair to average sound
These speakers are a good value for pure sub use, but they lack range and clarity. the diameter is slightly larger than standard, so you may have to router out or otherwise widen your box opening. Though a good price, I was slightly disappointed in their fit and mid range abilities. I used them as replacements for a pair of 5-way technics speakers from the early 80's and they work, but don't sound as good as other Pyramid models I have tried in the past. If you just want sub use for a vehicle or powered home theater sub, they would work fine, however I don't recommend them for speaker system replacement.
