SynopsisBefore the Brothers' War. Before the five colors of magic. Before history itself, the plane of Dominaira was ruled by the Thran. They built machines and artifacts, the likes of which have never since been seen. But amid this civilization, a shadow took root, one that would stretch its arms across space and time. The hideous evil of Phyrexia was born.

  • Great read!

Finally found the last book I haven't read in the Artifact Cycle, that wasn't listed for an outrageous price as it is impossible to find electronically. This book is written very well and really sets up the story for the other books in the cycle. It is interesting how this plane was before the five colors of magic. It paints Yawgmoth in a different light that I wish I knew about before I read the other books. Good read for any magic fan.
