Mad about it
Ok I don’t know much about playing games or the products used to play them but unfortunately now I know a lot about this particular headset except one minor detail and it’s a issue with everyone using a Xbox series s/x .. so the mic doesn’t work when using Xbox nor does the lights it’s not a defaulted set it’s something you have to do to be able to use the mic when using Xbox .. and that in its self has had me for over a year now ..lost ..can’t figure out our why these work perfectly on everything and the sounds works great on Xbox or pc but on Xbox I can’t get my sons mic to work and when he plugged them in the lights go off so no flashy cool lights while playing his Xbox he can hear everyone but he can’t talk to them so I feel it’s false advertising so I give it a 3 star if I’m doing something wrong please someone tell me!! Mediocre noise cancelling but the lights make it go fast
I bought this headset for the active noise cancelling. It's okay at it. Bose has MUCH better ANC, but this was less than half the price of the 700 series and I'm satisfied with the performance at that price point. It's enough to help reduce distractions and background noise while on calls. The form factor is a little bulky and a little heavier than you'll get from simpler headsets. The fact that the microphone doesn't swing up means that you have to put the thing down carefully (or detach the mic entirely). I do really like that the volume, ANC, and other controls are on-ear, especially the volume wheel. There's a dial built into the USB cable that's supposed to adjust between "gaming mode" and "chat mode." I find this silly, useless, and in the way. It seems to choose which applications to give a volume boost to, so if you bump it accidentally and it turns the wrong way you can suddenly lose audio. One of the selling points of this product is the "360" sound mode with head tracking. I don't even know how many video games support this. If you play competitive FPS games it might be an attractive feature for you, but otherwise the normal surround sound is perfectly fine. However, as we all know, the most important part of any gaming hardware is the RGB lighting. This headset has very granular lighting control. I could make it strobe rainbow in three different places if I wanted to. So if what you're after is The Look(tm), this is the product for you. Not bad. 360 tracker is very impressive. Bass can be deeper.
Headset is surprisingly light and comfortable. My only issue with this headset was when it couldn't play music. I had to reinstall the JBL QuantumEngine and it worked afterwards. It might have been an issue with the recent patch. (So if this issue persists, just reinstall). The ANC isn't as great as other competitors nor is its bass deep, but its balance is phenomenal. The headphone sound quality is amazing!! Sound quality are precise and rich. The insulation and noise reduction is also excellent.
