  • Still an unbelievable camera

The Olympus E-m5 Mark II is a fantastic camera with beautiful image quality, ease of use, and light enough to carry with you so you don't get tired as easy. The Lenses are usually half the size of DSLR cameras and therefore you can carry more. I simply love this camera.

  • Much better than I expected

Because of it's affordability and it's 5-axis stabilization and an immediate need for a still camera, I bought this one after much research between some professional and some consumer cameras. I knew I may be using it for video as well so these things were very important to me: 5 Axis stabilization Timecode Audio input and it has all three. At first I thought it's tiny size would be a problem and even considered buying an attachment to make the handle larger but rapidly became accustomed to the small size. The timecode is useful but does drift over several hours when on Free Run with my Zoom F8. For the money, Olympus has done an excellent job. Compared to my AF100 the low light on this is great! I can only attribute this to the difference in technology that has taken place over the years. When both are set to 3200 ISO the AF100 is completely unusable. The EM5 II is very usable, even at 6400 (max for EM5ii) it's not too grainy. Mine was a refurb so I saved $300 off new, But even at the B&H price of $900 it's still a great camera. I almost forgot! It's weather sealed as well. That's not really something I look for in a camera but on a corporate shoot the other week we went out on a boat in a foggy bay. I didn't have to worry about my camera because I knew it was weather sealed.

  • Rugged lightweight camera with great features, still worthwhile in 2022

The Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II is a small, rugged, weather-sealed camera with superb image stabilization that produces excellent images, especially when raw captures from the camera are processed with the latest generation of imaging editing software. Its compact size also makes it a great camera to take underwater in a waterproof housing, and it is also a great web-streaming camera.

  • Great dealer and great deal!

I've ordered penepl8 at first, then I feel I still prefer a camera with view finder so I changed to this one, better than I expected! Portable size, vintage and classical look, nice image quality. Highly recommend!

  • This thing is built like a tank!

Solid. Classic OMD quality. Room for plenty of customization. Lovely multi-directional LCD touch screen. Dust & water-resistant. High-resolution mode. Seriously fun to use. Beautiful form factor.

  • Mirrorless micro four thirds beast

Great photos out of the camera, good in body image stabilization, very good at low shutter speeds. Light weight and great for carrying around. Good colors from jpeg out of the camera. Ample for travel and general photography.

  • Absolutelty great camera! I'm a FF to MFT convert

coming from a Nikon Full Frame camera user, this camera does not disappoint and has very little compromise. combined with its primes I'm able get many many keepers. Also, the 5-Axis image stabilization is no slouch. I'm very impressed.

  • Almost the perfect camera

I need a camera that is compact, well made, customizable, and produces high quality images, and this camera fits the bill. Excellent RAW capability and the video does not disappoint (for coming out of a point-and-shoot size camera).

  • Great camera, but lots of functions

I got this as a first mirrorless. Fun to learn on and lots of videos on functions and settings. It can be overwhelming at times, but this is all new to me. The body is weatherproof and feels solid. It may be too small for someone with larger hands.

  • Light and convenient to use

The E-5 Mk II is a big improvement over my older E-500. It is much lighter and quicker, especially with the compact lenses. However, I did not realize that my old but high quality zoom on my E-500 did not fit the E-5, which takes the micro 4/3 instead of the digital 4/3 format. Needed to get an adapter to use my older lenses.
