I installed this in to my iPod after the original jack only allowed sound to come through one ear piece of my headphones. I have no complaints about the replacement part, however the plastic tools you're suppose to use to prize the iPod apart initially broke or wore down very quickly. If you're replacing the headphone jack / hold button on your iPod remember to go on Youtube for a video and have plenty of potential replacement tools - I had to use a load of plectrums!
