  • Outstanding

I bought this CD because I'm a huge Guns N Roses fan. And I really enjoyed Velvet Revolver's Libertad. This CD was the first Snakepit project to be done, during the Guns N Roses era, with some of the original guns line up, and to be very honest, I loved it. The vocals done by Eric Dover, were very powerful, the rhythm guitars done by Gilby Clarke were fantastic. Matt Sorum on Drums (and I've always been a fan of Matt's) were well done. Dizzy Reed on Keyboards and of course Slash on guitars were outstanding. There isn't any reason on earth for the rock fans out there to try something different if they haven't already tried this to do so. It's not an aquired taste, it's definatey for the rock fans who particularly like their Rock n Roll. Not buying this album as far as I'm concerned ...

  • It's Five O' Clock Somewhere

This came through the post today, it's the first album by Slash's Snakepit, a side project created by Slash at the time (1994-5) his relations with Axl Rose were beginning to breakdown (which as we all know lead to Slash's departure from Gun's 'N' Roses in 1996) The album is more bluesy than Guns and has less memorable songs, however for any fan of lesser known and underground bands this album is for you, it has a slightly more raw edge than GNR (which may be why Axl refused to use the songs for Guns) but at the same time it's very well produced and mixed, it incorporates two members from the then GNR line-up such as Matt Sorum on drums, Gilby Clarke on rhythm guitar (and Slash on lead guitar obviously) aswell as Eric Dover on vocals delivering a fantastic performance, accompianied by Mike ...
