I bought this to replace my parents 7 year old PC, and so far my parents are very please with its size and performance. For the price and the spec that my parents need this is perfect!

The model I bought is possibly not the one pictured. I bought the Ultra Small Form Factor version of the Optiplex 755 Desktop PC. The USFF version is great for confined space situations. It's not quiet enough for use as a MediaCenter or 24/7 server but ideal for a kids room type PC. It does have more of a hum when vertical compared to horizontal which is a shame because that's how I wanted to use it. I think this is because it's not really screwed together inside, everything kind of clicks together in a tool-free kind of way which leads to a slightly rattly feel. This type of PC cannot be extended or upgraded that easily as it's simply designed to be very compact - hence the USFF. Having said that, I did change the HDD which was very easy to do and I installed a speaker which I bought from ebay for a couple of quid. Again this was easy to install. Sound is not going to win any audio awards but OK for watching youtube stuff etc.Read full review
A super bargain way to upgrade from XP to Windows 7. Even though the spec is about 5 years old, it is very fast for general use with no effort required when editing photos with multiple layers. The 64 bit system with 8 gb Ram works better than I expected with minimal compatibility issues with hardware and software.
Solid computer with good hardware. Being a few years old now the base version has a relatively small hard drive and a bigger one is really necessary these days. Seems very reliable but could do with a better graphics card if it is to be used for any serious graphic intensive processing. If you want an all singing all dancing computer this is not for you. If you want cheap, sturdy and upgradeable this could be for you.
i bought this product to make a server for a charity i volenteer for it does just great in the office enviroment and is a fast and effective machine for most purposes will be coming back to the seller if i need anymore as the towers i have had from them are by far a higher standard than most i found on here
