Definite must-have for lovers of DP MK IV. Funny, everybody says "DP Rises Over Japan" has never been available before, but I've had a VHS copy for almost 15 years! However, it's nice to see it with a DVD level of clarity. The documentary itself could have been a bit more in-depth but all in all I recommend this item to fans of Deep Purple and Tommy Bolin, who was absolutely the most underrated guitarist ever to walk the earth.
This DVD left me flat, very little action.Listening to Glenn Hughes, which is mostly what you do,is like listening to a high school associate that you didn't care for,re-calling how he used to get drunker than anyone else, scored with the prom queen and continually remind you HE cought that touchdown for the win.A true bore. The live footage couldn't be more...meaningless.I'm very much na Purple fan,but this was a waste of money AND time.
