Insane screen resolution! After getting used to it, all other smartphones look like an 32bit game. Camera is also fantastic, and very quick! Takes 3D photos (needs HDMI connection with a 3D TV to be shown) Stunning look. Cell concept is very related to connectivity, so consider having a data plan. Perfect integration between contact list and facebook. GPS navigation is also very good (apps included). Comes with a lot of apps, witch keeps running on background... So the battery life isn't that good. Lasts a full day of use (Data traffic wastes less energy than wi-fi) against the almost 2 days of an iPhone. Sony says it'll be better after the next update. Apple store has considerably more app's (and better apps). Apps use to be release for iOS, and after some time, launched for android... But I really think Google Play will change it soon (as well as Android 4.0) At first, u'll feel uncomfortable about the 3 touch sensitive buttons on the bottom. But they work great after u get used. Having to press the top power button to turn on screen pisses of a bit. Overall, cons are just details, things u'll get used to, and cheap talk.. This cel's processor, camera, look and functions are incredible. If u buy an iPhone, apple will soon release another. Everybody will look at your cell and know it is an old model. Ppl just don't know that cel that well, so it'll remain hot for a long time. But, if u're and Apple addicted, u should just buy an iPhone.Read full review
The built in battery makes it hard to upgrade batteries. I received a refurbished S and I believe it was towards the end of it's life. There is a glitch or powering problem that you can research on that I experienced. When charging with any other micro usb charger other than it's factory own, the screen with lock in certain places (mainly right above the home key) and take a couple more taps to move your touch. I used the developers tools to show me screen touches. I did not have 4 G network which is alright, I don't care for much of the 4G hype but it did slow down the videos. The phone can not handle many apps at once so I would recommend closing apps as you go. However, it was very easy to use and I thought it was perfect to carry around. The sound quality is very nice too.
Good phone, already Updated to Ice Cream Sandwich, I did not lost any data/configuration in the process, I just updated the phone in 10 minutes, and I kept all my pictures, apps, even saved games, calendar, contacts, etc. Now I browse using google chrome, excelent browser. I see forward to future updates for this phone so they can include all functionalities that Gingerbread had. The resolution is outstanding. The Wi-Fi is slightly better than previous Xperia models, but not as good as other phones like HTC. Much better than iPhone.
I brought this phone because its cheaper with lots of functions including the 12 megapixel camera which is just amazing. And also the size of the phone is pretty good, that is, I can hold it easily in 1 hand, it can be put in my pocket compared to other phones which seems to be quite big. The only things which I don't like is that the android system is upgradable only to v4.1.2 but that's fine.
I love this device. Best Android phone on the market. Great screen, amazing camera, very easy to use. The phone has a gorgeous desing and has many great features. The only bad thing I can say about this phone is that the battery life sucks. Even with running the batery saver app I downloaded it gets mediocre battery life at best. Hopefully this can be fixed with an upgrade.
