      GREAT TV ONCE MORE

      I love hearing the theme song and it takes me back to when I was a teen in the 80s hearing it on my Mom's tv. I always wanted to be a cross between Julia and Susan. Today still I admire Susan and am SO glad I can once more watch this group of women.

      OK Designing Women fans...it's all here!!!! No more watching it on Lifetime or Ion with bits and pieces cut out!!! It's all here!!! Julia, Suzanne, Mary Jo, Charlene and Anthony at their best!! Julia telling people off...Suzanne being her crass but lovable self...Mary Jo being so perky and cute...Charlene all wide eyed and country and Anthony talking about his "unfortunate incarceration." The bonus footage of a reunion is fun too...maybe a tiny bit boring. I did like seeing Linda Bloodsworth-Thompson talk about writing the scripts and how they did it. I hope they don't wait forever to put out Season 2. I may wear out these discs and have to buy another one!!!

      Designing Women-Season 1 (DVD, 2009, 4-Disc Set)

      Designing Women is one of my all-time favorite tv shows. I have been waiting for years for it to come out on DVD! I must say it was worth the wait! I had forgotten just how funny the unedited episodes really were. The 2006 Paley Center bonus extra was good too! As a Southern woman, I can't get enough of the Sugarbaker Design Firm.
