Good stuff
This sound deadening material is pretty good and reasonably priced. Works well to deaden sound through door skin and floors. Hard to work with if using large pieces and if you use it while warm, It softens and sticks to itself and everything you don't want, if you are not careful. Once it is stuck it is NOT coming off without a fight! Have not used the other brands of sound deadening material so I can't tell you if it is better or worse. I originally bought this brand because of the low price. Getting kinda of expensive now, like everything!This sound deadening material is pretty good and reasonably priced. Rockmat - As good as Dyn$m@t, at less than half the price - Maybe even better
Wanted a butyl rubber sound deadener. The other guys is $4 sq/ft. Rockmat is $1.80 sq/ft from Audiosavimgs. No asphalt stuff for me (seen it, dont like it, especially in warmer weather). Installed in my 1967 Ford Mustang, which has a louder than normal exhaust note. Difference between night and day on the ambient noise in the cockpit. Now I can listen to the radio, talk to friends, etc. Rockmat is 70 mills vs 50 mills for the other guy. Easy to apply, just vacuumed up the dirt/dust, wiped off the metal, cut to size, and sealed it down with the supplied roller. Easy clean up. Like it so much I bought another roll to do my classic Volkswagen. Very cost effective. I did a lot of research about the different products available. Reduced road/engine noise
I have an '80s van, tons of road noise/engine/axle noise (not much in the way of sound insulation back then). This one roll covered the rear of the van floor- I did 2 layers over the axle and transmission. WOW- its a totally different vehicle now. Axle whine is much quieter than before, no more road noise and just overall so much nicer to drive now.

Wow!!!
This is plenty to do the entire trunk and then some and I still have left over. Compared to Dynamat, this product exceeds the quality, quantity and cost. I would recommend the Rockville mat to anyone that is trying to sound deadening there car and not have to break the bank. Car system sounds much cleaner now with Rockville mat installed.
