    A great read...............

    Beautifully written and so easy to read. Had trouble putting it down at night. Great story. Did get a little annoyed with Philip in the film, but coped with his adolescent actions better in the book.

    Totally mind boggling

    What a book. This is such a classic yet I'd never read it. It draws you in to the comfortable and loving world of Philip and his adoptive 'father' Ambrose, which is then turned upside down by a series of events set in train by Rachel. Is she good or is she bad? Du Maurier keeps you guessing until the last page, and beyond. Excellent read.

    I enjoyed this book. It is full of intrigue and atmosphere. The ending leaves the reader to make up their own minds about innocence or guilt. I found it compelling reading. The characters are well drawn. Outdoor ambience is sensitively treated. I have never read any of Daphne du Maurier's books before and I am favourably impressed
