This is a riveting climax to a very well made series of movies dealing with life and death struggles in a world where tyranny and oppression is common place and the true heroes (heroines) rise up from the shadows to take their lives back. Katniss, the reluctant symbol of the uprising, is torn between the horror and brutality of the Hunger Games process and the sadness of friends and loved ones lost. Her emotional turmoil is heart wrenching and watching her growth from a desperate young girl into a confident defiant woman is indeed a revelation. Fantastic non-stop action, finely developed characters, a very believable plot premise all make this the best fantasy action series since the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The movie was entertaining to me in that it featured far more action than part 1. The acting was pretty good and the characters were interesting, although I did not like Mocking jay's pick as a mate.

After watching the previous movies in the series this one was not worth the hype!!! It had many moments of excitement but by the time the movie was about midway through we we're wishing it was already over. Very slow going after midway and for the fact it seemed to drag on and on we got to where we could tell what was going to happen long before it did! Both my wife and I said they could have made the ending of the series much better but again thank goodness it's over with now!!!

This dvd was a fine ending tothe series fin ale. The books will alwaysbe better, more informative, deeper in detail etc. It was a great read and I hope all who enjoyed the movies will give the books a shot too. The movies were moving and exciting, a great watch and a great visual story, but as is often the case the books just have more time to get in deeper to the emotions of the characters. All in all watch the movies the movies after you have read the books. You will have a more complete experience.
