Product Information
After three years as a PI, Harry Bosch returns to the LAPD. His former cop ally and partner Kismin Rider, who helped to persuade him back into the blue religion, will work with him. Harry and Kiz are assigned to the LAPD's Open-Unsolved Unit and are immediately thrown into a politically sensitive and dangerous case when a DNA match connects a white supremacist to the 1988 murder of a 16 year-old girl. Harry is finding the LAPD very different from the place he left three years ago. A new police chief has been brought over from New York to change the old culture. Harry's nemesis Chief Irving, who represents the bad old LAPD, has been sidelined. He watches Harry from the wings, waiting for him to make a mistake - which he does. There will be less of Eleanor Wish and the little girl Maddie in this novel. Connelly goes for a speeding bullet effect, a very fast narrative unfolding over a few days.
