  • A book about books and brave characters

This is a book about a brave female librarian who dared to open a library in a small place. She tried to resist all wicked attacks and worked as long as she could. I like this book because of its children's character, a girl who took a revenge on bad people who sent her generous employer away. When the girl grew up, she also became a librarian. I like characters who have strong will, bright intelligence and goodness, who are not defeated even when the victory is not on their side.

  • A caressing read.

Enjoyable short story, beautifully written, an engaging style. I've ordered a DVD of the film and look forward to watching that.

  • The title sums up the tale.

The book is very good, but not compelling!
