Versatile but lacking clamp strength to hold camera in desired position.
I was happy with this products versatility but quickly found its major draw back. While mounted on my bike helmet or on my bike stem, I found that it lacked adequate clamp retention with the GOPRO HERO video camera attached to it. No matter how much I cinched down on the plastic turn knobs the camera would fall from the desired position while being jostled around from road or trail vibration. I did come up with two solutions to remedy this problem though. 1). Using a Dremel, you can scuff the smooth plastic "Ball-Joint" connection pieces to keep it from slipping. OR, 2). If you do not have a Dremel, then a small piece of cut rubber from a old tire tube can be cut down and placed on both sides of the "Ball-Joint". Both of these DIY solutions work, and once fixed I am now quite happy with ... I was happy with this products versatility but quickly found its major draw back. GOOD QUALITY
VERY FIRM CONSTRUCTION WHILE THE QUALITY OF THE MATERIALS IS VERY GOOD. THE TRIPOS ID EASY TO USE. I HAVE NOT ATTACHED IT TO MY BIKE BUT I DON'T THINK THAT I WILL FACE ANY DIFFICULTIES. THE TRANSPORTATION COST THOUGH WAS HIGH ENOUGH.
