I'm a movie buff and this is the first time I've seen this movie, over the years I've enjoyed the work of both Joan Fontaine and Basil Rathbone so this movie I knew was going to be enjoyable and I wasn't wrong,it's a visual treat, glorious rich colours and great sets and one of these 17th century pirate movies that has much more going for it than the usual formula of this type of movie which in this case is due not only to the usual great talents of Ms Fontaine and Mr Rathbone but also it's a good story and well made,a movie you can be in the mood for on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon with the family or late at night with a few drinks and a few friends and enjoy quality viewing that will not disappoint.
