Not digitally remastered or upgraded. Quality of prints are old, washed and grainy. I realize that Voyager Entertainment transferred their VHS stock directly to DVD, so, not directing blame to this seller. Just wanted to make this fact known. Otherwise, great product and fast shipping.

  • A must-have for fans!

This one was a totally classic, “no-brainer.” The first two series of Star Blazers were widely broadcast in syndication, and by widely I mean to say “wherever there was an independent broadcaster with open scheduling and which didn’t rely on outside funding to get the program shoehorned into the schedule in the first place.” In other words, Star Blazers was a program which was fairy unique to its era and deserving of its cult like status — others have written extensively about it. My point is that this cycle of the Star Blazers story — The Bolar Wars — was NOT widely distributed in syndication, and was not seen in as many markets. Heck, it wasn’t really “finished”, as the there are Japanese language titles and subtitles still present, along with the original opening and ending ...

  • Bolar War

It’s the last of the Star blazers Collection. It has its good moments. But I do not think it is as interesting as the first two. It did not have the detail. That is probably why it was not aired in the USA in the 80s. In some ways it seemed that they were running out of new ideas. Some of the episodes solutions to problems were on the simple side in series three. But it has its good Moments. Deslock being a friend is one of the biggest surprises in series three. Since Deslock is a Hitler in Rhome like figure commanding earths destruction in series one. What happened - he was a nice guy all the time? Its up to the veiwer to decide if it was a convincing change for the better.

  • a great tale at a fair price

a fitting conclusion to the StarBlazers saga the characters are well developed as far as anime goes the music typical of the genre if you're a fan of science fiction ,anime or just like a good story get this it's worth every penny

  • Good nostalgic ride back to the anime revolution

This third series was never released in the US so the translation is a bit off, but the animation is better quality than the first 2 series. This series is not censored for the death scenes so the battles are more believable instead of being cheesy like in the first 2 series. This 3rd series is a step above the first 2 series so Star Blazer fans will not be disappointed.
