    A Massive Disappointment

    I expected that - other than Eliot himself, who reads them brilliantly - this brilliant and legendary series of poems would be beautifully read by John Gielgud. Instead,to my ear, he gabbles them much too fast, while Irene Worth (also reading as if she's a train to catch) has a grating voice and reads with a sort of heavy, affected 'expression'. A massive disappointment.
