Very soft and looks to be real silk (just like other ones I have). The purple is not the shade that I hoped it would be (comparison included), but I think it's a pretty color. Hopefully more colors will be available in the future (like burgundy). I'm glad the shipping was affordable. Items arrived well packaged and new.
