Sig Sauer has been one of my favorite firearms brands. I'm glad they have optics to compliment with their firearms. This red dot is pretty darn good. It's easy to calibrate, the red dot is nice and bright. (You can adjust the brightness very easily.) I like the riser it comes with. You can also use this with the Juliet magnifier offered by Sig Sauer. The optic stays on the rail tightly and isn't going anywhere. The materials feel quality and not like a cheap airsoft scope. Great optic!

Quality is great! The mount is an absolute co-witness mount not a 1/3 co-witness so your irons block the dot. This would be fine if if your irons folded down front and rear but will not work with fixed sights on an AR platform. The "co-witness" term is used very lightly in the description and should state that this function does not apply to fixed irons. It has a proprietary base so its not possible to just change the base either. Will be selling this one and buying a HoloSun HS403B.

This sight is the best!!! I sold another top brand unused for this piece. Began speaking with a sales representative at an Academy Sports franchise to familiarize. The Romero5 was easy to set up for a first timer, auto on when point at object/shuts off after seconds. This is a keeper!!!

Love the quality of Sig products. This sight is so easy to install and sight in. I have Sig pistols with other Sig optics and they all are of great quality. I love the shake awake feature. That is one of the main reasons I chose this model. I would definitely buy again.

The Romeo 5 red dot sight has features you won't find on some of the more expensive options on the market, from the wide range of brightness settings, to the excellent battery life, to the motion sensitive automatic shutoff feature. Sig has produced an exceptional sight for an unbeatable price.

Are there any better scopes than this? Of course - but you have to pay three or four times the price This is a very clear optic with great features I’ve bought three of them and plan on getting more for my guns The motion sensor turns it on automatically as soon as you pick the weapon up This gives you a very long battery life It’s way too early to say how long it is, but when you have to change the battery, you can do it in seconds with the scope still mounted - no need to re-zero

Bought the unit with high mount only, put it on a Classic AR kit, red dot lined up with top of front sight insert so I removed that. Only shot at 50 yards but didn't even need to adjust the dot. Lines up right where the sight tip was between the protective ears. I thought I might have to cut off the front sight but great as is. I did have a little trouble with getting it into sleep mode, seems if you hold the button too long it either stays on or off, if off hold down just till it turns on and it's in motion mode. Have this setup for quick shots at varmints in the yard, figure it's easy for the wife to get on target with this. Great sight for a good price.

This is an extremely high quality rifle optic, both generally speaking and for the price. ESPECIALLY for the price. The difference between the version I got for around 130-140 vs the one for a little over 200, is the cheaper version only accommodates a high mount. So there is a space between the optic and the rail. This is not ideal for some platforms, and some users would want the low mount option for their gun. However, for my use on an AKM pattern rifle, this is perfect; the gap between the optic and the rail is absolutely perfect for using the rifles iron sights, which remain fully visible without obstructing the optic at all, due to its high mount. There are numerous torture test videos of this optic on YouTube, and while there may be optics of higher quality that exist, they certainly are not anywhere even close to this price point. You can buy 4 or 5 of these for the price of an optic that would be appreciably better quality, and it’s debatable if the difference in quality really justifies the difference in price. I own products by both EOtech and Trijicon. I’m not just speaking without experience. I must clarify though, the ONLY optic I would ever recommend for a pistol is a Trijicon RMR. As high quality as this Romeo 5 is, I personally witnessed someone’s Romeo 1 pro on his 320 shatter in the holster when he bumped into something. That’s something that simply will never happen with an RMR. Bottom line - Romeo 5 on a rifle ? Excellent choice, can’t go wrong. Read full review

This is the best RDS for the money, there's no reason to buy any other brand other than Sig if your budget is under $300.00. While the Aimpoint H1/T1 are still overall King, the Sig Romeo5 is the King of the Sub $200.00 RDS.

First there is some explaining...Sig Sauer Romeo 5 is made in China. SOME of the sights come in an unlabeled brown cardboard box with no instructions. THAT is what I received. As I have several Romeo 5 sights, it made no difference to me. Just if you receive a plain jane box with no instructions, you will have to go online to get the instructions if you are new to the Romeo 5. The sight is sturdy, accurate and unobtrusive. A little slow to adjust as the click adjustments are very fine. Very good red dot sight and a good value. I especially like the auto off/on function.
