The monopod did not come with instructions for use. The head of the monopod is equipped with a 3/8" external thread. What may not be immediately apparent, is that the 3/8" thread can be pushed down to retract it for the use of the coaxial 1/4" thread. Some users may try to remove the outer 3/8" and damage it while doing so.
