The low energy requirements on this internal hard drive keep battery life long with advanced seeking algorithms, while the WhisperDrive keeps operating noise to a minimum. The Western Digital 500 GB Hard Drive is perfect for use in laptops, music players, and other small applications, measuring just 6.8 mm by 69.9 mm by 100.2 mm (0.3 inches by 2.8 inches by 3.9 inches) and weighing 100 g (0.2 pounds).
