OK, this was cheap. But the quality of the finish on the outside of the product is stunningly high. It actually looks like it could be an item of high end hi-fi gear and it came with all relevant leads. Doesn't guarantee anything about the quality of the insides of course, but I can report that it actually works perfectly and provides pretty decent sound quality too. Using it to "analogise" the digital output from a modern TV and it to feed into my vintage amplifier. Couldn't be happier.

I have looked high & low on the internet for a bargain, and there is nothing can beat this price. just going by other reviews I know this is going to be good. MOST new smart TV's are supplied with only a digital (toslink) sound output these days. and I needed this to convert to analogue as I use wireless headphones via a 3.5 mm jack anlogue sound transmitter, so for the price this will be absolutely perfect.     rivals ones at nearly ten times the price

    Neatly packaged, with optical and coaxial cables included. That inspires confidence to start with, matched by excellent service. Very easy to set up and works as it should. The only thing that just might detract and explain the remarkably low price is if it were suddenly to stop working, but no reason to expect that (anyway I'm happy to take that chance for the price). Assuming it does give long service this is outstanding value for money, and I have bought three of them (for less than half of what I could have paid in the shops for just one--better one? Maybe, but I suspect no difference would be noticed).

    value for money, metal case comes with cables

    works right out of the box I connected the TVs toslink output to my vintage amp RCA in it worked without an issue. it needs power supply to work which doesnt come with it but you can either use any usb port on your devices or separate power supply it might be an old phone usb power supply . comes with all cables you need.

    Optical to RCA dac+

    It does require 1A 5V usb power adapter but it works straight out of the box. When input is zero (not connected to source) it can generate hissing sound so it means it does work constantly when it is powered up. Great unit to pair with analog amps so they can be used with TV's and other sources.
