Deck mount for 8mm diameter pole size fits petite wind spinners. I thought I was getting the square thing that is shown in the picture. I wasn't. I wasn't going to pay an x amount of money for just a piece of metal with screws and a thing to hold the petite wind spinner.

It's a deck mount, that's exactly what you got. A piece of metal with screws to mount to your deck and hold the spinner. The square thing in the picture represents the "deck" rail or wood you would be mounting the holder too!
