Favorite Looking Statement Double Boiler on Market
I give the R58 Cinquantotto five stars for multiple reasons. It meets what I wanted in an espresso machine. Specifically: * dual boiler * dual PID * classic polished stainless steel statement espresso machine * modern, but without anything more that would make this machine less dependable * an E61 group head which has been around since the 60's, there will be replacement parts * after a year of ownership, this is still my favorite looking machine even though V3 is a few years old. For me it is the bee's knees. There are drawbacks for even an awesome machine, but I knew in advance about its quirks * there might be regular maintenance that has to be done to keep this in top shape * the water tank meter is fussy and requires the user to know how to adjust the water tank so that the machine ... I give the R58 Cinquantotto five stars for multiple reasons. It meets what I wanted in an espresso machine. There are drawbacks for even an awesome machine, but I knew in advance about its quirks * there might be regular maintenance that has to be done to keep this in top shape * the water tank meter is fussy and requires the user to know how to adjust the water tank so that the machine gets a connection to the sensor * the Rocket is a tank, but be very careful about any shipping, which is a great cause for damage * think seriously about treating your water if your water is too hard. Try to minimize future maintenance. * once the tank and steam boiler temperatures are set, I took off the side touchpad. No need to keep it connected to settings that work for you until you want to changes * I do not think this is a starter machine. If you are new to espresso, spend time learning the basics of making espresso. * first invest in a good grinder, no good grinder in your house will make this R58 a complete waste of money. This advice applies to all semi-automatic wonderful espresso machines, not just Rocket.
