My metronome arrived well packaged and in like new condition in its original packaging. Initially my unit would not turn on. I checked the AA batteries. Both were badly leaking white crusty battery powder. No problem. The vender kindly and thoughtfully provided extra batteries. But those were dead too! No problem! After prying out the badly swollen batteries oozing crusty battery powder, I installed a set of my own batteries. My unit works fine now and just as advertised. I am very happy now.
