About this product

Product Information

The strange events of October 30, 1938, are recounted on this program. New York state was plunged into terror as Orson Welles's radio drama about invading aliens was mistaken for a news broadcast, causing numerous calls to the police and, in some cases, hospitalization due to shock. Also included is a recording of the original show.

Best of eBay sale! Book looked even better than the photos. It was shipped fast. The box came in battered but the book was wrapped so well in bubble wrap and more it came through in great shape. I am happy. The box was “smushed” down & dented in on both ends. The carefully wrapped book sailed through it. This seller knows how to pack items once sold- check the feedback.

  • Superb.

This was history, no doubt about it. As a documentary it was superbly conceived and implemented. It is between a short biography of Orson Welles and the (in)-famous night way back in 1938. I had seen it on TV but decided to own it, so that I can view it again and again on my own time and my own will. Thank you for having it.
